Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you must have heard SOMETHING about the phenomenon that is the Las Vegas Golden Knights! This first-year NHL team based in a city with allegedly “no culture” and no other major, professional sports franchise are killing it - so to speak. They’ve broken records for wins for a first-year team and are now in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The bigger factor here is how this team has been a common topic for bonding among Las Vegans.
Tattoos for a cause

This was the inspiration for Revolt Tattoos, best known for its famous Inkmaster winning artists, Joey Hamilton and Walter “Sausage” Frank, to help fans show their love for the Knights while supporting a good cause. The artists set up a truck outside of each Golden Knights home playoff game, offering free tattoos of the home team’s logo for a minimum donation of $30. Proceeds go to the Las Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, which supports youth sports, including K-12 public school programs, support for military and first responders, and homelessness in the Las Vegas community.
When asked about why he decided to set up shop for the cause, part owner Cole Wetzel replied, “We are more than happy to donate our services to our city in any way that we can.”
If you’re going down to the arena for a playoff game, get to the promenade early for a chance to get tattooed for free (in exchange for a donation) by world famous tattoo artists. Oh, and don’t forget to tip them for their hard work and generosity!
